A woman who tragically died after eating a listeria-infested sandwich told her daughter just days before that she was excited to enjoy her favorite lunch meat. Eleanore Farley, 86, died in late July 2024 - days after she consumed Boar's Head liverwurst that she picked up from a Publix in South Carolina for $4.44. Her daughter, Elaine Farley, 60, recalled the chat she had with her late mother on July 17, where she spoke about the liverwurst - a conversation which would tragically end up being among her final words.
