A popular podcast with a cult-like following is expanding its reach as it "lands on Netflix" in an exclusive new streaming deal for video episodes, and fans are "screaming" over the "well-deserved" new medium.
My Favorite Murder, which celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, officially launched on the streamer on Monday, Jan. 26, featuring six episodes from the podcast's back catalog with new episodes set to drop weekly.
Longtime fans of the true crime series celebrated the news as podcast hosts Georgia Hardstark and Karen Kilgariff announced the release on Instagram, sharing a few photos of the episode on the big screen and relishing in the excitement that they "land on @netflix today!"
New Episodes Are Coming Weekly to the Streaming Giant
"Search 'My Favorite Murder' to watch 6 episodes from the back catalog, with new ones dropping this week - and every week," the duo wrote alongside the photos. "And don't forget to hit that 'Remind Me' button to get notified when new episodes are added!"

The 'Surreal' News Left Fans 'Screaming' in Excitement
Fans were shocked by the news, calling the deal "surreal."
"This podcast has been a part of my life for the last 10 years," one gushed, while another agreed, "I'm so happy for you guys😭 I've been listening for soooo long it's so nice to see you guys get recognized like this."
"I screamed when I saw them pop up! ♥️," someone else exclaimed. "I'm so proud of all of you!!!!"
"Congratulations ladies! Well deserved ❤️," the sentiments continued."So exciting to see you on this huge platform. Congrats!!" another praised, while somebody called the news "the highlight of my whole week."
Folks are already planning out their watch schedules, with one declaring, "Oh, i can NOT wait to binge them all this weekend with my coffee and my lap cat 🐈⬛ 🔥❤️," and another quipping, "Eek!! My shows on!"
The true crime podcast—which, over the years, has expanded to explore cases beyond straightforward murder, such as the Tylenol poisonings, kidnappings, survival stories, and even The Great Circus Train Wreck of 1918—sets itself apart from others like it thanks to Hardstark and Kilgariff's backgrounds in comedy, incorporating humor as a coping mechanism for otherwise incredibly difficult conversations.
Previously, video episodes were uploaded to YouTube, with special recordings available only to paying members of the Fan Cult—the podcast's premium fan club. Moving forward, it seems that episodes will no longer be accessible via YouTube. It's unclear how this new deal will impact Fan Cult episodes, if at all.
My Favorite Murder video episodes are streaming now on Netflix. You can listen to previous episodes wherever you stream your podcasts.
