Rare moment dolphins are seen swimming in New York City's East River
Two dolphins have been spotted frolicking in New York City's East River in an extremely rare sighting for residents of the metropolis. The pair of marine mammals dazzled observers as they leapt out of the water close to 96th Street on the border between Manhattan's Upper East Side and Harlem. They were seen for several hours on both Valentine's Day and Saturday this week. Footage posted online shows the dolphins making an elegant leap out of the water, framed by the urban landscape of city skyscrapers, iron bridges, and the FDR.
