Actor Daniel Radclifferecently shared he found himself amused by a Harry Potterjoke.

Entertainment Weekly reported that Radcliffe, who famously played the titular character, Harry Potter, in the beloved film series, based on the books by J.K. Rowling, appeared on the November 24 episode of Late Night with Seth Meyers, hosted by Seth Meyers. While filming the interview, alongside his Merrily We Roll Along co-stars, Jonathan Groffand Lindsay Mendez, Radcliffe said he doesn't usually get a kick out of jokes about the boy wizard.

"Not because they're bad, just because I've heard all of them! It has to be really good to make me laugh," said Radcliffe to Meyers.

He said the last time he visited the Late Night with Seth Meyers set, he heard a conversation regarding his and Erin Darke's 2-year-old son during "a production meeting backstage." Meyers then shared details about the meeting.

"I was like, 'Tell me how old Daniel's child is.' And they were like, you know, 'Like 2 years old, but [Daniel doesn't] say his name publicly,'" recalled Meyers during the November 24 episode.

He said that his producer, Kevin Miller, jokingly questioned if Radcliffe's son was named after Harry Pottervillain Lord Voldemort. As fans of Harry Potter are aware, many characters are afraid to evoke Voldemort's name and prefer to call him "He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named" or "You-Know-Who."

"My producer, Kevin Miller, said, 'Is it Voldemort?'" continued Meyers.

Radcliff exclaimed he thoroughly enjoyed the joke.

"It's really good," said the actor with a laugh.

Daniel Radcliffe Spoke About His Experience Filming the 'Harry Potter' Movies in a 2022 Interview

Radcliffe appeared in eight Harry Potter films, spanning from 2001 to 2011, per IMDb. In an October 2022 interview with GQ, Radcliffe spoke about his experience working on the Harry Potter film sets for a decade. He explained that he wasn't "a big reader" as a child, so he wasn't a major fan of the book series before he was cast as Harry when he was 11.

In addition, Radcliffe said he didn't believe he was "thinking particularly deeply about the characters or acting when" he began filming for the series. He also shared he greatly admired his adult Harry Potter co-stars, Imelda Staunton, who played Dolores Umbridge, David Thewlis, who played Remus Lupin, Gary Oldman, who played Sirius Black, and Michael Gambon, who played Albus Dumbledore, because they "didn't mystify acting too much."

"They're all people that can be very normal and chatting away and then can just turn it on on action," said Radcliffe during the 2022 interview.
