Eminem had to show his hometown of Detroit, Mich., some love on Thanksgiving.

The legendary rapper joined Jack White for a surprise collaboration during White's halftime performance for the NFL's Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers football game on Thursday.

The White Stripes frontman was the musical guest at the Detroit game, and he started off his halftime show with "That's How I'm Feeling" from his 2024 album *No Name* and "Hello Operator" from his 2000 album *De Stijl.*

Then Eminem literally appeared from a hole in the stage, with White introducing him as "Detroit's own" before launching into "'Till I Collapse" from the rappers 2002 album, *The Eminem Show*. The crowd went wild as Eminem and White played through a high-energy remix of the song together.

Eminem was decked out in Detroit Lions merch, with a branded blue bomber jacket over a hoodie, as he rapped onstage. Earlier this month, the rapper signed a multi-year deal with the Lions, solidifying his relationship with the NFL team as he controls the musical performances at its Thanksgiving games through 2027.

Then White ended his halftime performance with his anthem crowd-favorite, "Seven Nation Army," which can now be heard at most live sports games. The stadium could be heard singing along to the melody.

Earlier this year, Eminem — born Marshall Mathers — made another surprise guest appearance, this time during Jelly Roll's set at Ford Field in Detroit in May. He emerged on stage to a deafening crowd to perform the final verse of his 2002 hit "Lose Yourself." Jelly Roll, who has covered the song in the past, began the track solo before the rapper strolled onto stage to help him complete the hit.

At the end of the song, Eminem greeted the crowd: "Detroit, what up?! Long time no see."

Speaking to the crowd after Eminem departed the stage, Jelly Roll told the audience, "If you can't tell, that was a childhood dream come f---ing true, Detroit. This is the greatest show I've ever had in my f---ing life." He also said that Eminem's music helped him "through the darkest moments of my life."**
