Any fans of the 2000's garage rock era will be delighted to learn that Jack White, lead singer and guitarist for The White Stripes, will be performing this year. The White Stripes are a Detroit-based duo, making his appearance all the more meaningful.
The band's hit song "Seven Nation Army" remains one of the most identifiable guitar riffs in history, and its sure to get the crowd in Ford Field moving should he decide to play it on Thanksgiving. Here's everything to know about this rock icon before his performance.

Jack White will be the performer Thursday, Nov. 27 for the Packers at Lions halftime show. The Lions announced White, a six-time Grammy winner, as the headliner via a post on X on Nov. 16.

Who is Jack White?
White is most well-known as the lead singer of The White Stripes, a garage rock band that reached its peak in popularity in the 2000's. The group dissolved in 2011 after Jack and then-wife Meg White decided they wanted to preserve the fond memories fans had of the band before it became too corporate or overshadowed by other projects. Jack and Meg White also stated that they wanted to place more focus on their solo careers without the pressure of living up to their band's success.
The band's most iconic song, "Seven Nation Army," won a Grammy in 2004 for best rock song. In total, the band collected six Grammy's and 11 other notable awards before dissolving.
In 2004, White also collaborated with Loretta Lynn as the producer of the album Van Lear Rose, which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums chart and No. 24 on the Billboard 200. The album won two Grammy's and was nominated for three more.
White currently runs the company Third Man Records in Nashville with numerous ongoing musical projects, ranging in genre from Motown to garage rock to classic American blues.
