Alix Earle revealed in a new TikTok that her mom's upcoming surgery had weighed on her during her recent world travels

Alix Earle is getting candid about her mom's health.
On Jan. 7, the 25-year-old influencer revealed in a TikTok that she had just returned from a two-day trip around the world, during which her mom's upcoming operation weighed on her mind.
"I had a few cries," Earle told her followers.
The internet personality — who also recently competed on the 34th season of Dancing with the Stars — previously shared in a Dec. 28 TikTok that she and her sister Ashtin had spent the day after Christmas with her mom in the hospital to meet with doctors, revealing that she was "going through something right now with her health."

"That day was honestly a little hard for me," Earle continued in her December update. "This was also something we found out about while I was on Dancing with the Stars, so that was just another one of the things I was dealing with." (Earle previously admitted in a TikTok after she finished filming the reality competition show that "a lot that happened in my personal life throughout the season that I am happy — I think — that I didn't share for television.")
In her latest post, Earle said that she had returned home to her home state of New Jersey, where her mom was heading into her operation.
"I'm going to go see her, and I may or may not talk more about this this week," she continued. "I just want to see how everything goes, and first of all, just be there for her."
Last week, Earle made headlines ringing in the new year when she was spotted sharing a cozy moment with retired NFL legend Tom Brady, 48. A source told PEOPLE at the time that the two hung out together at the same New Year's Eve party in St. Barths, and videos obtained by PEOPLE showed Earle flashing a wide grin to Brady, leaning over to whisper in his ear, rubbing her hand along his back, and dancing and laughing with him.
Though Earle hasn't specifically addressed her festive evening with Brady, she wrote in a cryptic Jan. 3 Instagram caption that the night had been filled with "new friends, new memories, and new beginnings to start off the new year."

The content creator's evening with Brady came on the heels of her split from Houston Texans wide receiver Braxton Berrios in early December after over two years of dating. After multiple sources confirmed the breakup to PEOPLE, Earle later shared in a post on TikTok that they had gone their separate ways because she couldn't "be what Braxton needs," tearfully adding that she and Berrios had been doing long distance for five months amid the athlete's busy NFL schedule and while she taped DWTS.
