The Beauty, a sci-fi body-horror series, is Ryan Murphy's latest project with a starry cast.
The show, which premiered Jan. 21 on FX and Hulu, explores the societal obsession with physical appearance and the cost of trying to achieve perfection. Murphy told Variety in October 2024 that the series, which centers around a mysterious STD that provides extreme beauty to those affected but with horrifying consequences, is a direct commentary on "Ozempic culture."
Ashton Kutcher stars as "The Corporation," a tech billionaire who engineers a miracle drug dubbed "The Beauty," which is essentially the fountain of youth. The drug, which is actually a virus that can be sexually transmitted, offers users physical perfection, though the transformation comes with gruesome side effects.
In an interview with Vanity Fair in January 2026, the actor spoke about the show's themes. "My wife actually said to me, 'Somebody walks around with braces or Invisalign, and that's totally fine. But the minute someone gets a rhinoplasty, that's viewed differently,' " he said, referring to actress Mila Kunis, to whom he's been married for more than a decade and shares two children with.
Like Kutcher and Kunis, Rebecca Hall, who plays a lead FBI agent on the show, has been married to her husband, Morgan Spector, for over 10 years as well.

Ashton Kutcher, who leads the cast of The Beauty as a villainous tech billionaire, shares two kids with his wife of over 10 years, Mila Kunis.
The couple first met in 1998 while costarring on That 70's Show. At the time, Kutcher was 19 while Kunis, who lied to producers about her age to get the role, was only 14.
Despite playing on-screen love interests, there was "zero romantic connection" off-screen, Kutcher shared in a 2023 interview with BBC. After the show wrapped in 2006, the pair went their separate ways.
Things changed in early 2012 when, after reconnecting at a party, they started casually dating. Eventually, things became serious, and in February 2014, the couple announced their engagement.
That October, they welcomed their first child together, daughter Wyatt. They tied the knot in July 2015, and the following year, in November 2016, their son, Dimitri, was born.

Evan Peters, who stars as Cooper Madsen, an FBI agent tasked with investigating a string of deaths involving supermodels, is currently single.
Although the actor prefers to keep his romantic life out of the spotlight, he has opened up about his close professional relationship with Murphy. Prior to signing on for The Beauty, Peters previously worked with the prolific writer and director on multiple projects, including Pose, over 100 episodes of American Horror Story and Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, which earned him a Golden Globe.
"Ryan continues to be an incredibly generous force in my life and allows me to do something different than the last thing. And that's really all I could have ever asked for," Peters told Vanity Fair. "I only want to work with him more in the future, so we'll see what it brings."

In The Beauty, Rebecca Hall portrays Jordan Bennett, FBI partner and love interest to Peters' Cooper Madsen. In real life, however, the actress has been married to actor Morgan Spector since 2015.
The couple first met in 2013 while costarring in the Broadway play Machinal before tying the knot in September 2015. The wedding came as a surprise to fans, but for Hall, the biggest shock was how her feelings about marriage changed after meeting Spector.
"I was politically opposed to it, fundamentally opposed to it. And I think I didn't believe in the possibility of monogamy either," the actress told The Guardian in November 2024, adding that choosing to take that chance "probably is the greatest thing I have achieved."
Along with marriage, Hall wasn't interested in motherhood before meeting Spector. That changed, too, and in 2018, the couple welcomed their daughter, Ida.
"I married someone who is so committed to making up for whatever deficit I might have and allowing me to be that, but also making sure I'm present for my child and holding it all together," she told The Guardian. "I got lucky."

Though Ramos was previously engaged to his Hamilton costar Jasmine Cephas Jones, the pair broke up in 2021. Since then, the actor has kept his love life private.
Ramos was one of two actors — including Jeremy Pope — that Murphy had in mind when he started ideating the show, giving the two longtime friends a long-awaited opportunity to work together.
"Finally, we get to play these partners in crime and s---," Ramos told Vanity Fair. "It was really, really fun."

The real-life supermodel first met Banuelos, a professional equestrian and horse trainer, at a horse show in the spring of 2023 after moving to Texas. "I saw him walk in and it was like a gust of fresh air," she told British Vogue in May 2025. "I always wanted the cowboy," she joked, adding, "And he's pretty gorgeous, let me tell you something."
A few months after meeting, the couple started dating. In October 2025, Banuelos shared a sweet Instagram post to celebrate their two-year anniversary.
