Gwyneth Paltrow is just trying to help.

While on set for their upcoming film *Marty Supreme*, the Oscar winner and wellness goddess noticed that her costar Timothée Chalamet might benefit from some of her sage wisdom. But her inclination toward altruism backfired.

"In *Marty Supreme*, Timothée has pockmarks, and they made his eyes beady with contacts and glasses," she explained on Tuesday's episode of *The Run-Through with Vogue* podcast. "In real life, he has beautiful skin. He made a comment, and I was like, 'Oh, you can do micro-needling for that.' He's like, 'This is makeup.' I was like, 'Oh, s---.'"

"The makeup was so good that I thought he had little acne scars," Paltrow continued. "Anyway, I think it would be interesting to one day do something like that."

In the upcoming awards hopeful from director Josh Safdie, Paltrow plays a character not unlike some of the most venerated in her back catalog. Her Kay Stone is a wealthy socialite and fading movie star who forges an unlikely connection with the younger ping-pong phenom played by Chalamet.

Paltrow mused that Chalamet's physical transformation for the role actually inspired her, noting in response to a question about what kind of role she hasn't yet but would like to play, "I think it would be really interesting to do something around a story of an older woman. I'm really interested in how women age and how they regard themselves as they age. I look forward to playing older parts for sure."

The famously unbothered actress previously shared that she gained respect for Chalamet on their first-ever collaboration over the fact that he is "[going] out with a young woman who has two kids," recalling, "I respect it. I think it's kind of punk rock."

Paltrow had a laugh when she realized Chalamet's current partner isn't just "a young woman."

"My point is I didn't know [it was] Kylie Jenner," she joked.****

*Marty Supreme *is Safdie's first solo venture since he and brother Benny Safdie decided to take a hiatus from their long and fruitful creative partnership. The film is officially described as the story of "a young man with a dream no one respects" who "goes to hell and back in pursuit of greatness."

Alongside Chalamet and Paltrow, the film costars *I Love LA *breakout Odessa A'zion, *Shark Tank *star Kevin O'Leary, Tyler "The Creator" Okonma, filmmaker Abel Ferrara, and Fran Drescher.**
