"When it comes to wedding planning, nothing feels rushed or one-sided," a source exclusively tells PEOPLE. "They're both equally involved and excited, and this isn't something one or the other is carrying on their own. They're approaching it as a partnership, talking things through together and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them."
The Grammy winner and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, both 36, first started dating in September 2023 and announced their engagement news in a joint Instagram post on Aug. 26.

"Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married 🧨," the pair wrote in their announcement, ending the caption with a dynamite emoji, seemingly a reference to their "TNT" nickname.
The couple also shared a carousel of photos from the moment the Super Bowl champion popped the question in his backyard — surrounded by a stunning floral arrangement — two weeks before revealing the engagement.
Days after the news broke, a source close to the pair told PEOPLE "Taylor and Travis have been in celebration mode ever since the engagement. They are not in the wedding planning phase yet."

"Right now they just want to enjoy being engaged and they are going to take their time with it," the insider shared. "It has been a relief not having to keep it a secret anymore, and they are glad it is out in the open."
"They were going out to dinner and she was ready to go and he said, 'Let's go out in the garden on the patio and have a glass of wine before we go,'" the NFL athlete's dad, Ed Kelce, said at the time on Australian radio's The Jimmy & Nath Show with Emma. "I think she knew something was up because as they walked out there, she could see, suddenly, there were a lot more flowers out there."
Earlier this week, a source shared that the couple continue to prioritize their relationship and the time they spend together despite packed schedules and a year filled with major milestones.
"Taylor's had an incredibly full, demanding year and she's really proud of everything she's accomplished," the insider said. "She's worked extremely hard and her schedule has been nonstop, but even with everything going on, she and Travis still put a lot into their relationship."
