Jeremiah Brown is down to play wingman.
Speaking exclusively to PEOPLE on the red carpet of the inaugural U.S. TikTok Awards, the Love Island U.S.A. star shares his excitement that fellow cast members Iris Kendall and TJ Palma have made their love official — and even lets slip that he played a role in making it all happen.
Iris and TJ initially dated early on during the show's seventh season, though Iris later coupled up with Pepe Garcia after TJ was voted off. Iris and Pepe came in fourth place during the show's finale and appeared together as a couple during the cast reunion on Aug. 25, but then confirmed that they had called it quits days later.
Iris and TJ then sent fans of the show into a tizzy in September when Iris indicated that they had rekindled their flame by posting photos together, simply captioning a collection of snaps, "💌." And on Nov. 24, the duo made it official, posting a joint collection of photos to Instagram with the caption, "officially coupled up ❤️"

"It was already official in my mind because they were already so cutesie, hanging out all the time," Jeremiah tells PEOPLE of their relationship before they confirmed it on Instagram.
"I actually got to set it up," continues Jeremiah, referencing the moment TJ asked Iris to be his girlfriend. "I'm kind of leaking, but that's okay. I got to help set that up, so it was an honor to be a part of it. I love their relationship — it's beautiful — and I wish them the best."
Reflecting on his ascent to stardom over the last year, Brown tells PEOPLE that the No. 1 lesson he took away from his time in the Love Island villa over the summer was to "be yourself."

"At the end of the day, the right people will be there and support you," he continues. "I would've never thought I'd have such a loving, caring community after only being on the show like half the time. People are going to see you for who you are at the end of the day, so just let it all work out."
