Getting stuck with a middle seat just got a little easier.
On Tuesday, Jan. 27, Subway is giving passengers "sandwiched" in middle seats a $20 gift card. The deal lands on the same day as Southwest Airlines is ending its open-seat policy in honor of travelers assigned the unsavory middle seat.
To retrieve the gift card, middle-seaters have to take a selfie in their spot and submit it to subwaymiddleseat.com. Subway will award the first 737 passengers who submit their photo a $20 Subway gift card.
Submissions can come from travelers on any airline after 12:00:01 a.m. ET on Jan. 27. Participants need their selfies to "reasonably show" a few details, such as both armrests and seats on either side of the traveler, per the conditions of the program. But the participant's face does not need to be visible in the photo. More details about the selfie qualifications can be found on the submission website.

The sandwich chain recently rolled out its nostalgic Sub Club after 20 years. The loyalty program awards members a fourth footlong sub for free after buying three, all customers have to do is sign up for the program and order away.
After purchasing three footlong subs or six 6-inch subs, customers will get a free 12-inch sandwich. The free footlong will pop up in the customer's account within 24 hours of the third footlong or sixth 6-inch sandwich purchase, according to the chain's website.
Taco Bell has a new menu full of deals.
On Thursday, Jan. 22, the chain launched its new Luxe Value Menu, which offers 10 menu items that cost $3 or less.
The new menu features some brand-new choices, including the Mini Taco Salad, which combines seasoned beef, Chipotle Sauce, cheddar cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and refried beans in a crispy tortilla bowl. Other newbies to the discounted menu include the Beefy Potato Loaded Griller, Chips and Nacho Supreme Dip and Avocado Ranch Chicken Stacker.
Longtime value menu favorites like Cheesy Roll Up, Spicy Potato Soft Taco, and Cheesy Double Beef Burrito will still be available.
